Art Studio Facilities for Global Creatives

Green Olive Arts offers three large studio spaces with furniture, basic tools, supplies and equipment for various kinds of creative production.

Shared spaces:

These are large studio spaces shared by 2 or 3 artists each with individual work areas each measuring 7-15 square meters. Each artist can set up his/her space with our furniture, including tables, easels and storage. These rooms can be closed with a door to the rest of the studio and have large windows and/or balconies.

Private spaces:

These are large studio spaces dedicated to one artist each, with a door for privacy, a balcony or large windows, and all necessary furniture.

Multipurpose room:

This relatively large (30 m²/100 ft²) space is ideal for teaching classes and workshops with broad spectrum lighting, bright sunny windows, and large tables. This room also functions as exhibition space with a versatile hanging system and LED lighting. It can also be configured with seating and a small performance area for music, readings, presentations and other live events.

Details

Furniture: We have studio easels, field easels for plein air outings, adjustable hight tables, writing desks, storage furniture and shelving.

Common Work Areas: In keeping with our value of collaborative use of shared materials, all artists will have access to shared cutting mats, basic artist tools, woodworking bench and tools, other supplies and a computer workstation.

Printmaking: We have an etching press with a 40cm x 80cm working space and 10cm rollers along with a small supply of inks, brayers, plates, and other related tools. We also have gelli plates for monoprint experimentation.

Encaustic: Our studio can support encaustic artists with an electric griddle and heat gun. Encaustic medium is not available here so artists need to bring their own.

Locally Available Supplies: Most basic supplies for painting in oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels and related mediums can be found at local art supply shops within 5-15 minutes walk from Green Olive Arts. There is also a wealth of shops for textile projects within walking distance.
